Chronic Absenteeism

Chronic absenteeism is a measure of how much school a student misses for any reason (including excused or unexcused absences.)  If your student misses 10% or 18 days for the school year, he/she will be identified as a chronically absent student. During the 2026-2027 school year, your student’s attendance will be closely monitored under the General Choice Transfer guidelines.
