Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19th 2025. It is the family's responsibility to confirm that Alma del Mar has received this application by the deadline. If any information provided is factually inaccurate, the application is considered invalid unless corrected by the application deadline. It is the family's responsibility to notify the school of any changes to the information provided on the application, including contact information. Students admitted from Alma del Mar's waiting list have seven (7) days to respond to the offer and claim a seat.

All information requested in this application will not be used to discriminate.
This document will be destroyed within seven (7) days. You have the right to receive a copy of the document upon request if your student is not admitted in the 2025-2026 school year.
Enrollment is based on a random, public lottery. Siblings of current students have preference over other applicants. Children residing in New Bedford receive priority over other applicants.
Alma del Mar is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year for students who will be in grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
To apply to kindergarten, students must be 5 years old on September 1, 2025.

The lottery will be held on Monday, February 24th at 5:00 PM at Alma del Mar. The lottery is open to the public. Attendance at the lottery has no impact on a student's chances of being selected.
Following the lottery, Alma del Mar will make every reasonable effort to contact accepted families. These efforts will include outreach by phone, e-mail, mail, and home visits, where the necessary contact information has been provided by the family.
Lottery results will also be posted on the Alma del Mar website by February 25th.
All children not accepted will be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list is refreshed each year. Your child remains on the waitlist until Feburary 15th, at which point Alma no longer back fills seats. If you would like to re-apply for 2026-2027 you will need to do so when the application process opens up in October of 2025. Please make sure to let Alma del Mar know if your contact information changes.
What kind of support will my child receive at Alma?
Alma is proud of its diverse student population. Students with diverse learning needs have the right to attend Alma and to receive accommodations and support services, including students who may have disabilities, require special education, or are English language learners.
