Enter the child's sex shown on the original birth certificate

The parent/guardian of a student identifying as transgender or non-binary may choose to enter the gender by which the student identifies rather than the student’s biological gender. The parent/guardian may also enter the student's preferred first name if it differs from the birth certificate.
